Things I want, things I need

Things I'm jonesing for right now:
- To lose 15 pounds. I've hired a personal trainer. Yes, I got that desperate.
- A netbook. Sadly, as much as I love my 2003 Dell, it's in its golden years, and I want it to die with dignity. I don't require much from a computer, a netbook should do just fine.
- To sew a cute pillow. Shut it, yous.
- To set a personal record at Las Vegas Rock and Roll on 12/6/09. I'm shooting for 13.1 miles in under 2 hours. I'm probably nuts.
- A haircut. I could do a mean sweep of your floor with my locks right now.
- Leggings and a tunic to wear with my new boots. Yeehaw.
- Green nail polish.

Cute or not?

I've always loved her hair.

Zoom!

Things I'm currently obsessed with:
John Grisham books
Running
McDonald's soft serve cones
chips, salsa, margaritas, all at same time
Kraft Easy Mac cups
Mariah's remake of "I Want To Know What Love Is"

My biggest roadblock to achieving my ideal physique.

Probably another significant roadblock.

Annnnd because we're on the topic of roadblocks.

So addicting. This one is particularly good. I've never worked in BigLaw, but I wonder if parts of this book are true. 100 hour workweeks? The false deadline? The Harvard Law Gunner who fails the bar? $2400 lunches billed to the Fortune 20 client?

So you can see, my brain is a cluster right now. And I'm ok with that. I've set some goals for myself, physically, mentally, and financially. I'm hoping that within the next 3 months, I will make some true progress. Wish me luck.

Green nail polish is TOTALLY in right now. Two thumbs up (as long as it is a super dark emerald!)

(1) Hiring a personal trainer is not desperate. It is doing something good for yourself.

(2) You don't want a netbook. Those things are way too small to be enjoyable as your main computer. Good for travel. Not good for daily use.

(3) Don't stuff your pillow with jeans like last time.

(4) Not a fan of green nail polish, but, if Rachael says it's in, then it's in.

(5) You like Monica Lewinsky's hair? WTF? It's a helmet.

(6) I can vouch that 100-hour workweeks are not fiction.

I have no doubt that you can rock the half in less than 2 hours. I love the green nail polish and I really wanna learn to sew a cute pillow too. Actually, I have fabric and everything...I'm just waiting on my mom's help.

GL with the list! I love the polish and the boots.

As far as the cone from McD's I love them too and actually they aren't as bad as you think since it's a small portion size and is non-fat frozen yogurt.

"The Harvard Law Gunner who fails the bar?"

Please God let that not happen to me!!! That's all I could think about when I read the rest of your post.

I bought some dark green polish a few weeks ago. You can try it out this weekend if you'd like. :)

Woohoo for the trainer! My hubby is a trainer, but it never works when he tries to train me, we just end up fighting. I want to hire a trainer so bad, but he says it's a waste since we can train me : /

Love the green polish!

I want to set a new PR at Vegas, as well!

I have never read John Grisham before, I may have to check him out.

Good luck with the personal trainer and keeping fit.

I never tried easy mac until a week ago and I have to say it's pretty good.

I don't know about green nail polish, but I know metallics are in.

I think the green nail polish would look great if you'd just have someone professional apply it {tittering}

I had a personal trainer for 2 years and it was great motivation to get my arse to the gym each week.

Two thumbs up on the sweater and leggings to wear with your boots - you can totally rock that look!
